Club news and events
Sue Leitinger is the President of the Club.
Brunswick Malletsports Club has had some great successes over the past while, and many of the members have gained places in prestigious teams and contributed to good performances.
The Wombats played in Shanghai China in September at the World Gateball Championships. In 2009, The State Team in Golf Croquet included members Sue Leitinger, Wendy Dickson, and Kevin Beard. Wendy and Sue were also chosen to play in the World Womens Golf Croquet Championships held earlier this year. Lowen Clarke and Adrian Masterman-Smith won the Victorian Golf Croquet Doubles Championships. The Wombats Gateball team were Runners Up in the Australian Gateball Championships in Rockhampton and were winners in the NSW Gateball Championships in Canberra. The Wombats are also the Victorian Gateball Champions. The Club is proud of its players. In 2008, our coach, Lowen Clarke, coached the State Team to a win in the Interstate Cup in Traditional (Assocation) Croquet. (see photo, left, middle) |
